Flying high on persistence

Red Balloon founder Naomi Simson will be guest speaker at the upcoming women's lunch.

FOUNDER of RedBalloon Naomi Simson will speak about the power of persistence at the 2016 Casey Cardinia Region Women’s Lunch.
The lunch is being held as part of Victoria’s annual Small Business Festival, which runs state-wide from 1-31 August.
The lunch will provide the region’s business women with the opportunity to network while enjoying a two-course lunch, along with a glass of bubbly on arrival.
Ms Simson is well known from her role in channel 10s Shark Tank as the Red Shark and the best-selling author of Live What You Love. She has many labels: entrepreneur, author, blogger and innovator.
As an entrepreneur, she founded one of Australia’s tech success stories, RedBalloon, in 2001. Through persistence and good business planning redballoon.com.au has now served more than 3 million customers.
Ms Simson is a champion of great workplaces and her entrepreneurial energy focuses on redii.com, a SaaS business inspiring businesses to love their people.
Before founding RedBalloon she worked as a marketer with big brands such as IBM, Apple, KPMG and Ansett Airlines, all of which influenced her views on workplaces.
She is committed to making the world a happier place and does so via her blogging, having written more than 900 posts at naomisimson.com since 2006 and being a LinkedIn Influencer with some 860,000 followers.
Naomi has received a number of high profile awards including the 2008 National Telstra Business Women’s Awards for Innovation and in 2011 she won the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Industry category.
The lunch will be held on Friday 26 August from 11.30am-2pm at the Cardinia Cultural Centre.
Tickets are $90 including a glass of bubbly upon arrival and a two-course lunch.
