LOCAL businesses that have raised around $100,000 for a Pakenham welfare group will do their bit again next week as part of an annual golf event.
The Golf Challenge, which will be held at the Cardinia Beaconhills Golf Course from noon on Friday 21 November, is designed to support 4Cs work within the community.
“The event has generated about $100,000 for our centre in the last three years and the relentless contribution of the local businesses back to the community,” 4Cs operations manager Abiola Ajetomobi said.
The golf day kicks off at noon with a sausage sizzle lunch followed by 18 holes on the golf course along with a three-course dinner and auction.
Les Twentyman, the founder of youth anti-poverty group 20th Man, will step in as speaker for the night which is expected to draw around 100 local business owners.
