A LOCAL vineyard has achieved a level of success where it’s not only been nominated for two major business awards across Casey and Cardinia, it’s supplying the wine at the gala dinner.
D’Angelo Estate Vineyard was announced as a finalist for the inaugural 2014 Casey Cardinia Business Awards, recognised for their contribution in the field of hospitality and tourism.
It follows wins in the Small Business and Environmental Sustainability categories at this year’s Melbourne South East Business Awards.
It also won the Agriculture and Primary Industry category at the 2013 Cardinia Business Awards.
Owner Benny D’Angelo said he was thrilled to be a finalist, with the vineyard adding another string to it’s bow in recent times – it now provides live acoustic music for nearly 100 patrons at a time.
“It highlights to us that we are going the right direction,” he said.
Winners will be announced at a gala dinner on Thursday 9 October, with guests drinking D’Angelo wines after winning the tender for the evening.
The vineyard will also host a gangster-themed evening on 6 September with a five-course dinner with eight matching wines.
